Duties:

• Working within a team of mechanics, liaising with and reporting to the Workshop Manager.
• Carry out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI’s) of Plant so all equipment is safe and ready for hire.
• Carry out routine/periodic services to fleet items. Carry out repairs to fleet items and inform the Workshop Manager of costs e.g., parts used, labour time and charges.
• Inspect all plant when returned to depot and inform the Worksop Manager if there are any damages and/or items missing.
• Carry out repairs and breakdowns to fleet items on site as and when required.
• Carry out service and repairs to customers own equipment as and when required.
• General housekeeping of workshop.
• Inform manager of stock to keep frequently used items readily available
• Early starts or late finishes may be required depending on what jobs/breakdowns happen on a day-to-day basis.
• The applicant will be trusted to manage their own time so must be proactive and driven whilst also able to work in a team.

Schedule:

• 7am-5pm, Monday to Friday. 8am-12pm on Saturdays
• Approximately 8 Saturdays per annum and overtime as and when required

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 2 in Plant Mechanics
• Full UK driving licence
• Confident and friendly customer service
• Ability to work in a team
• Positive, can-do attitude
• Experience with the delivery of plant (preferable)
