Working within a team of mechanics, liaising with and reporting to the Workshop Manager.
Carry out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI’s) of Plant so all equipment is safe and ready for hire.
Carry out routine/periodic services to fleet items. Carry out repairs to fleet items and inform the Workshop Manager of costs e.g., parts used, labour time and charges.
Inspect all plant when returned to depot and inform the Worksop Manager if there are any damages and/or items missing.
Carry out repairs and breakdowns to fleet items on site as and when required.
Carry out service and repairs to customers own equipment as and when required.
General housekeeping of workshop.
Inform manager of stock to keep frequently used items readily available
Early starts or late finishes may be required depending on what jobs/breakdowns happen on a day-to-day basis.
The applicant will be trusted to manage their own time so must be proactive and driven whilst also able to work in a team.
Schedule:
7am-5pm, Monday to Friday. 8am-12pm on Saturdays
Approximately 8 Saturdays per annum and overtime as and when required
Requirements:
NVQ Level 2 in Plant Mechanics
Full UK driving licence
Confident and friendly customer service
Ability to work in a team
Positive, can-do attitude
Experience with the delivery of plant (preferable)
